Yort Flops (Slop Machine) · likeness.slopmachinegame.com · Version 2026-10-21 (closed beta). Back to the ledger.

1. What this is

The Likeness Ledger (the "Ledger") is a public web page run by Yort Flops ("we", "us"), an Australian sole trader, as part of the video game Slop Machine (the "Game"). It shows pictures ("Likenesses") that players chose to upload from inside the Game when they gambled their likeness, together with a handle, a status and an in-game dollar figure. None of the money is real.

2. What you give us

A Likeness is a 160 by 120 pixel, four-colour, dithered and fish-eyed version of a single still from your webcam (or a picture you chose to upload). The Game never sends us the original camera frame; it stays on your computer. The Game sends the Likeness only after you have read and pressed I CONSENT on a screen that names this page.

With the Likeness the Game sends: the handle shown with it (your Steam display name when you play through Steam, otherwise a name you typed), the in-game amount loaned, the colour style, and the time. The Game also sends a random key it generated so that you can find and control your own Likenesses later. We store a one-way hash of that key, not the key.

We do not collect your email address, your real name, your Steam ID, your IP address beyond ordinary server logs, or anything else about you.

3. Your consent and our licence

By pressing I CONSENT you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, reproduce and adapt the Likeness and its handle on the Ledger, inside the Game (for example beside other players' Likenesses), and in material about the Game such as screenshots, trailers and social posts, for as long as the Ledger exists. You confirm the picture is of you, that you are an adult (18 or older), and that nobody else recognisable is in it.

You keep ownership of your Likeness. You can end the licence at any time by burning it (section 5).

4. Who can see it

The Ledger is public. Anyone with the address can see every visible Likeness, handle, status and figure. Players can also see Likenesses inside the Game. Treat a Likeness as something you have published.

5. Burning, deleting, reporting

Burn. From Settings > Likeness in the Game, or by pasting your OWNER key on the Ledger, you can burn any of your Likenesses. A burnt Likeness stays on the Ledger as an unrecognisable scrambled image under a scrambled handle (the first two characters of your handle plus random characters). Burning is permanent. We keep the burnt image, not the original.

Report. Anyone with a key can report a Likeness. Reports go to a moderator. Moderators can burn a Likeness or remove it from the public Ledger. Removed Likenesses are kept in a private list, not purged, so that abuse can be investigated.

Takedown. If a Likeness shows you and you did not consent, or shows a child, or is otherwise unlawful, email yortflops@gmail.com with the handle and the time shown. We will remove it from public view promptly, and we will report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.

6. Rules

Do not upload a picture of anyone but yourself. Do not upload a picture of a minor. Do not upload anything sexual, violent, hateful, or that you do not have the right to use. Do not try to find out who a player is from their Likeness. Do not report Likenesses in bad faith. Breaking these rules can get your Likenesses removed and your key blocked.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act and, where it applies to you, the GDPR or the UK GDPR, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to stop showing it. Burning covers most of that; for anything else email yortflops@gmail.com. If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis is your consent (section 3) and you may withdraw it at any time by burning. You can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.

8. Where it lives

Likenesses are stored by SpacetimeDB (Clockwork Labs, Inc., United States) and served through Cloudflare. Both may process the data outside Australia.

9. No warranty, limited liability

The Ledger is a toy that comes with a video game. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from the Ledger, including anyone else's use of a Likeness you chose to publish. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes and law

We may change these terms; the date at the top moves when we do. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
